Lyle and Scott was founded in Hawickin 1874 in which they started with an £800 loan and a lot of ideas. Their brand wasn’t well-known up until they designed an exclusive Cashmere collection with Christian Dior which is when they started becoming recognised within the fashion industry and plummeted from there.
