Founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie after visiting Argentina and seeing first hand the extreme poverty in the region. On discovering the traditional Alpagata shoe, he decided to recreate it for the U.S market and start a movement to help impoverished children in Argentina and around the world. With every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One.
